Effect of Phosphogypsum on Soil Physical Properties in Moroccan Salt-Affected Soils

چکیده

Salinity is one of the most critical challenges for crop production and soil water management in arid semi-arid regions, such as a large area Morocco. These regions are characterized by low rainfall with an erratic distribution, long drought periods, high evaporation, resulting salt accumulation superficial layer degradation. Therefore, phosphogypsum (PG) could be promising amendment to reduce salinity effect improve quality salt-affected soils. In this context, present study aimed evaluate PG on physical properties Luvisols Cambisols collected from soils four Morocco: Chichaoua, Ras El Ain, Sidi Zouine, Sed Masjoune. The treatments consisted different rates (15, 30, 45 t/ha), natural Gypsum (G) (15 control. Our findings revealed that application improved structure promoting flocculant action provided calcium. Linear regression indicated Water Aggregate Stability (WAS) doses were strongly correlated coefficient determination (R2 = 93.41%, p value < 0.05). Compared control, overall efficiency t/ha reached 53%, 95%, 36%, respectively, Masjoune presented positive other (soil hydraulic properties, total porosity, bulk density), especially Chichaoua Ain regions. porosity was increased 8% t PG/ha soil, density 5% lower pot treated compared This supports use reclaiming through monitoring agronomic environmental impacts.

Effect of Slope Gradient and Soil Physical Properties on Soil Loss in Furrows of Rainfed Farms

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of slope gradient and soil physical properties (grain size distribution, bulk density, aggregate stability and permeability) on water erosion in the furrows of rainfed farms under fallow conditions. The furrows with 6 m length were installed in five rainfed farms with 6.1, 10.6, 14.8, 20.7 and 27.1% slope steepness at three replications. Resul...
